In a suburb sprawling with Chinese restaurants, selling a unique point of difference is key to success. N&amp;M Kitchen does not do itself any justice by its concept to begin with. The shop is pedestrian and clinical, there's no specials on the walls or anything to hint at their speciality. Only recently have they made a few specials on their windows.The menu is predominantly Cantonese with hints of Shanghai influence.&nbsp;<br> <br> I have supported them for many times when during lunch because you could always get a table here and have a pleasant lunch with no noisy lunch crowds. Most of the dishes are in fact cooked quite well although some things are a bit of a hit and miss such as the basic soup base for their noodle soup not being rich enough. However, you may come another day and taste the best Shanghai noodle in Chatswood.&nbsp;<br> <br> The service is very good and friendly when they are quiet but tend to quickly lose form when a few more customers come through the door.<br> <br> Tonight, I came for a light meal of Congee and Crispy Fried Chicken. The Preserved Egg and Pork congee was under seasoned and did not have enough century egg to pronounce the dish. The Crispy Skin Chicken was juicy and had a thin crispy skin - as good as their competitor next door. The accompanying sauce was a spicy sweet black vinegar dressing similar to the sauce for the Shantung Chicken. Usually, a Cantonese Crispy Fried Chicken comes simply with a wedge of lemon and seasoned salt but that's fine as the sauce works equally well.<br> <br> N&amp;M Kitchen have a place in Chatswood as their food is mostly good but I think they need to really sell themselves by having a few signature dishes they believe in and convey a sense of passion and excitement to their customers as that is what is missing.

Whilst a Malaysian restaurant inside an RSL seemed strange, the food here is really a highlight. The Kam Heong and Singapore Chilli Crabs, as well as the favourites like Char Kway Teow and Hainan Chicken Rice. The menu here is wider than the Ipoh Town branches in the city, with a lot more seafood options as well. &nbsp; For dessert, the chendol here is my favourite in Sydney.&nbsp;<br> <br> Malaysians are generally very opinionated when it comes to restaurants, but this is the first where there has been something to please all my friends.&nbsp; Uncle Jimmy Chong (the owner) has really impressed!

Actually, a beautiful beer garden (although we spared a longitist anger friend in the bushes in the bushes in dusk) and the interior is comfortable in winter. Food needs an overhaul ... cold, directly from packages and unimaginative. Much nicer pubs not far away. Shame. But maybe new renovations improve.

I found it so hard to find an authentic Hong Kong Cha Chaan Teng Restaurant in Sydney. I would have to say that Hong Kong's kitchen is the next thing. We ordered her roasted rice noodle with beef and egg sauce, beef broth with rice noodles in soup, ice-citron tea and milk tea. The drinks were fixed and I especially appreciated how many lemon slices put them in their tea. The cattle soup noodles had something too much MSG in the soup - so much that it was quite noticeable (if very delicious). But the real highlight was the beef Wat Tan Hor, who had only the right amount of 'Char' on the pasta. Not sure why the rating is so low for this place as he has a permanent person of people in the afternoon. We'll be a breakfast menu again.

Pleasantly surprised by this restaurant. Love the Chili Yabbies and the Wok Roasted Chilli (they can choose 5 ingredients). Pretty good value for money and definitely recommend
