Went here with my two friends this evening, food was lovely. I ordered a mojito, as we were seated next to the bar we could very clearly see the waitress struggling to find rum to put in it. We watched as she called a man over and they continued to make it (definitely not a traditional recipe) without any alcohol. Knowing that they didn't put it in, I tried the drink and politely queried it when the male dropped it off at my table, when she saw me asking something about the drink, waitress hurried over and asked if it was too strong. The nerve of it. I asked if I had been accidentally been given a virgin and they told me no very firmly. Considering we saw the lady not put any alcohol in it, we knew the truth. The three of us have worked in hospitality and know that mistakes can be made. But to blatantly lie even when we queried it was very dishonest and ruined the evening for us. Will be contacting the department of fair trade over this incident. $14 for lime cordial, dressed up with a sparkler and some mint. Disgraceful.
